My name is Julia, and I am a Postpartum Doula, Reiki Master of Masters, #1 Best Selling Author, Small Business Owner, and Postpartum Advocate.
I’m passionate about helping women feel supported and empowered through their postpartum journey. I can remember how alone and scared I felt after having my daughter. After my son was born, we had some everyday stressors but nothing too out of the ordinary. So imagine my surprise after birthing my daughter when I found myself deep in the depths of darkness while struggling with postpartum depression. The sadness filled my days.
Part of my mission blossomed within those dark days. I was inspired to ensure no woman felt alone or left behind again. My approach to postpartum care is warm, welcoming, and focuses on helping each mom to feel seen, heard, supported, and most importantly, not alone during this tender time.
Large extended families and special rituals help a mom feel cared for in other cultures. But unfortunately, in our culture, we have become disconnected from maternal care. My mission is to support and empower women and help them to heal while bonding with their new babies. I also use community education and support to guide new families in the best-supporting mom’s needs.
My soul purpose is about helping women to bloom into their most whole selves. Each person I work with is unique and deserves their unique approach, just like each flower in a garden. So I am here to help you blossom.
In addition to my new passion for postpartum support, I also use energy work in many areas of my daily life. I received my Reiki I Certification around the age of 8. I am a highly sensitive person, empath, and intuitive who struggled throughout childhood with feeling energy and, at times, being very scared. My mother helped me utilize energy work in helping me feel safe and protected. Though not using it professionally, I have incorporated energy work into so many aspects of my personal life since I was a young child. I am delighted to now be offering my life-long skill of Reiki to others. I was happy to find that I received my Reiki II, Reiki Master, and Reiki Teacher, and Master of Masters Certifications with the same lovely teacher I had as a child. I have such a passion for incorporating energy work into others’ lives.
Meet Olive, the 53 Chevy Belair
Olive was just a dream back when I was at my lowest while suffering from Postpartum Depression. I dreamed of becoming a postpartum doula to help others but could envision myself riding around in a vintage car, making house calls, and raising awareness for new moms and families. In the Spring of 2021, as I was working hard to complete my pieces of training and get Olive and Bloom started, my husband and I found an astonishing 53 Chevy in Pennsylvania. It was a case of the “at the right place at the right time” kind of scenario. I had contacted the gentleman who listed it for sale, and he was nice enough to hold it for us to drive down from NH to look at it. People were knocking down doors to purchase this car, so I am forever grateful I could have it all work out in our favor. We trailered her home and became Olive. She represents so much to me; she taught me never to give up and keep moving forward. She is more than just a car; she is a vision, which I was able to see come to fruition.
